This is a project that I have been contemplating doing since my debut recital in Singapore prior to the Menuhin Competition (Geneva) in year 2018. I am really grateful to the National Arts Council Singapore for their generous sponsorship and Kevin for his effort to put everything together. I am really excited that it is finally done! Piazzolla attempted to convey the history and development of Tango through the 4 movements of Histoire Du Tango. It was originally written for flute and guitar in1985 (published in 1986), a form that flourished in Buenos Aires in 1882. Other instrumental arrangements appeared later, including violin substituted for the flute, and also harp or marimba substituted for the guitar.
